When I Met Him

Yupyup, I met Christian, as in talked to him, and shook hands with him. The question is - how did I?

Uhm... you see, I know Nancy Castiglione and she knows me. I am her webmaster. Check out the site I made - MESTIZA. Nancy and I texts each other. One Friday after a live show, I asked her to tell Christian I say "Hi." She replied right away and said, "I just did now. He says hello." I was so happy! Hehe...

The next day, I couldn't help myself. I asked Nancy if there's a chance for me to meet Christian. And she said, "Of course! Come to Broadway Centrum on Friday. I'd like to meet you too. You can stay backstage with us!" Oh my gosh...me, come, to Broadway, meet Nancy, and Christian. I told my dad right away, then my mom. And I told all of my classmates and some people I just met during my school's Fair.

December 19, 2003

The Friday came. It was traffic. I arrived at The New Broadway Centrum at exactly 8:30 pm. The place wasn't that full. Most of the audience were gays, and I first thought that the people in there were supposed to be only relatives of the contestants, but nope! Everyone can get in. Mom brought us to a seat wherein I couldn't see the survivors; I could only see Nancy and Dingdong...hehe. People shouted. I could hear them cheering, "Christian," "Nadine," "Mark" and "Dion." Ei, you know, the singing part and the awarding part weren't done live, the only live were Nadine, Dion and Katrina's standing up to say good-bye and the surprising appearance of the non survivors.

After the show, Nancy was about to go to the backstage, she passed through us and my mom called her. "Oh Czari!" Nancy said, and she brought me with her. "Oh I know who you want to meet!" she said and took me to Christian. Haha! I shook hands with him, he kissed me and said, "Don't I have a kiss in return?" Haha! I did give him.

After that, the survivors gathered together for the interview. They were asked how they felt when the non survivors came in looking angry. Nancy, my mom and I went inside the backstage. Dingdong and Paolo were there too. And we talked.

After a few minutes, Nancy and I checked on the survivors. They were still being interviewed. I saw Christian looking at us. I also saw him talking, with Nadine looking at him, but didn't hear what he said. And I saw his brother, who's as tall as him! Dunno what his name is. He is wearing eyeglass.

We waited inside the backstage again.

Then, Christian came in! Hehe... Nancy took pictures of us. I shook hands with him again. He asked how old I am... hehe. Christian had to go home right away. It was getting late. "Nice meeting you..."

Mom and Paolo talked and talked.

When it was very late, we said good-bye and went home. Nancy showed his dog to us - a chihuahua!

Mom, dad and I ate at a restaurant. We arrived home at 12 midnight. My classmate called on the phone and I told him everything that happened.

Couldn't wait to tell the rest of my classmates and show the pictures.

Obsession (Christianotosis)

Obsessed sa isang artista? Sounds familiar? That is very common to us, ne? Maybe all of you out there are obsessed with some celebrity.

I don't usually get obsessed with someone (especially with actors); in fact, I was never obsessed with anyone, not until there was Christian Esteban on Starstruck. Hehe... The funny thing here is, it's my first time to get obsessed with a HUMAN BEING, and I mean person. I had obsessions before, not with people, but with ANIME CHARACTERS (one of which was Kurapika.) Funny, ne?

Am I really obsessed? I think I've been doing crazy things around here. Hehe... here's the list of things I have done and still keep on doing. They maybe signs of CHRISTIANOTOSIS. Hehe...

1. Upon stepping inside our classroom, I grab my classmate Louise or Sab, and then asked enthusiastically "Did you watch Starstruck last night? Ang galing ni Christian, noh?"

2. If Sab and Louise are not yet around, I ask anyone in the room - "Nanonood ka ba ng Starstruck? Sino gusto mo doon sa guys? I like Christian!"

3. I say to all the people in school I come across with, even those I only meet on that very moment, "Do you watch Starstruck? You know, I like Christian there."

4. When someone texts me, I reply with a postscript: "Do you watch Starstruck? I like Christian Esteban! Hehe..."

5. The first two websites I visit when I am connected to the Internet are Starstruck.tv (just to take a look at Christian's picture, vote for him, read the article about him once more, and see the updates) and Praning.com (to check if people replied to my Christian Esteban threads... hehe.)

6. I watch Starstruck every night, basically to see more of Christian Esteban.

7. I text Christian through Fanatxt everyday, even though I absolutely think that it's a fake one... the Christian who's replying I mean... hehe. (I'll explain why I think it's fake next time.)

8. When my pictures together with Christian were developed, I kept flourishing them to anyone I meet enthusiastically, with a big big smile. I showed them to all of my relatives who live nearby... hehe.

9. I borrowed my friend's cellphone with cam and kept on capturing my pictures with Christian... hehe. 10. Not just the cellphone, I also used my father's Tungsten Organizer to capture the pictures.

11. I sleep as late as 5:00am, thinking of Christian Esteban (what he's done in all of the episodes and how nice his personality is) and I dream of course!

12. I'm maintaining a website (this website) to keep myself sane!

Well, what do you think? Am I obsessed? If I am, is it a bad thing? If so, I think this is a bad start. Classes will resume in a few days and I still have this obsession. I won't be able to function well in our last term then, which is BAD of course.

There's a good thing though. Christian Esteban, I think, made me a TRUE HUMAN BEING. Before, I used to have obsessions with only Anime Characters, right? And now I have one with him, a TRUE HUMAN BEING. Sa wakas, tao na rin ako! Hahhahahahah!

My Thoughts and Opinions

On this page... I'm going to explode!!!!! Haha... I want to post here things, stuff, junk, more things and just things that are on my mind. These are usually the things I think of when I'm in bed, when I'm sleeping, when I wake up in the morning or afternoon, when I'm taking a bath, when I'm sitting on our swing, when I'm in front of this laptop computer thing, and when I look at my wrist watch.

Like what I say, I'm a bomb that won't stop exploding and exploding. Hmm... if ever you get confused, my apology... it's just that sometimes I don't stay on one topic and, I think, sometimes I mix things up... hehe.

A coincidence! Christian's watch, My watch

Well, uhm, I guess the picture above says it all. Yup, my watch (and I mean the watch I'm wearing this very moment... my watch for the year 2003 - and so on... my watch that mom and dad bought for me) looks like Christian's watch. They are not really the same. But the style, the size, the brand, are the same!

Before anything else, let me tell you first how did this watch came to me. I had a watch before, a black one, that mom and dad bought for me as a Christmas present. It was last 2002. The brand of the watch is L.V. - I don't know the spelling. Anyway, that watch isn't working anymore. And so, last summer, together with the whole family, we went to the SM nearby, and entered the TIMEX watch shop. The time was, I think, 10:00pm or later. Hehe... the shop was really about to close, I mean SM was about to close, and we were still there! My older sister chose a green watch for her, my younger sister chose --- 'do I really need to describe it?' --- I don't know how to... the watch just looks like everyone's.

I had a hard time picking the watch for me. Usually, I get someone to choose. My dad, he doesn't talk much, was the one who chose my 'eyeglass,' and I wasn't expecting that he'd be the one to choose my watch too. Anyway, he showed me this really big watch which has big numbers! Haha!!! It was really a joke... he said that the watch is good for me because the numbers are big, therefore I could see them! Haha!!! My eyes are poor, by the way. Guess what? It ended up my mom buying the watch. I love the watch! It's the kind of watch I like - big and black. Haha!

Just a few weeks ago, I wanted to change my watch, because I'm already fifteen and my watch isn't a formal one yet... hehe. Anyway, I didn't know that all this time, Christian's watch is like mine! I only found out about it last December 25 - when he GAVE IT TO SHEENA as a Christmas present! Oh my gosh! He was giving it away. I said like - we have the same watch! We have the same watch! There's no way he's giving it away. Oh my gosh!

Ever since then, when I look at my watch, Christian appears on my mind. I feel sad and glad at the same time. I am sad to think that Christian gave his watch to Sheena and said something special to her, and confessing that he had a crush on her. But I just feel happy - to know that we have the same.

I said to myself just last night... in bed: "If I get the chance to meet Christian again, I want to give him my watch." -----> That... if my mom and dad let me. Hehe...

Why I Like Christian Esteban

Looks

Yup! I really like his looks, even though not everyone finds him cute. The first episode I have watched is the guys' pictorial together with Sunshine Dizon. I wasn't paying attention to what the council was saying during that time - they were saying their comments about the survivors' performance, and I can only remember them saying that Rainier can have a future in showbiz, which I believed too during that time.

During their pictorial with Sunshine, Christian caught my attention...hehe. The scene had to be a Kilig one, ne? And so their heads stayed closed to each other. When Sunshine was really closed, Christian's eyeball moved and he looked at her...haha! That made me laugh. He was so funny. He was very real!

In the next episodes, those only I have seen, I dunno why but I couldn't find him.

WIT

I believed that Christian is witty, although the people I know kept retorting that he only seemed to be one because he speaks English - he's only being able to express himself using a nice language. Sabi ni sis, "Kahit ano namang sabihin ng isang PhilAm eh maganda eh."

Hmph... Christian soon proved that he's witty. He became the leader - that was the most revealing one. It was like saying that the other survivors find Christian remarkable and smart, ne? Christian's witty like Kurapika, Kenshin and the others. He can express himself really well. He thinks quickly. It seems that he always has unique thoughts. During interviews, he always says something meaningful, the truth, and in little words. He thinks differently - para siyang taga-U.P.

Personality

At first, I kept waiting for Christian to say something because his accent is really nice. I always wanted to hear his voice. If it's someone who's ordinary, maybe my liking it wouldn't last, but Christian - I kept liking him. The first time I heard him talk quite enough was the Work Ethics Test (wherein they were in Baguio.) He shared the saddest event in his life - the time when people hated him for he kept on criticizing everybody and everything seems to be so bad that he hated the whole world.

There was something inside me that vibrated and it was like I was saying, "that is something to be really sad at." I wasn't surprised or anything, in fact I was expecting it, to hear that Christian's saddest experience isn't a material thing like most of the survivors, but an inner struggle.

I have been asked so many times what my hardest and saddest moment is, and I couldn't answer right away - I had to think first. Actually, I don't say that I really had had my saddest moments, maybe I haven't really got one. I am lucky not to have one yet.

And I am lucky for being able to hear Christian's words. He made me realize that the least nice things in this world cannot be seen but felt, and so I have to be prepared. He also made me realize that a bad person can still change into a good one - so worth being loved and can even make a difference. Just like Christian, people can change and be loved again.

What else is there to say?

Oh yeah - he's down to earth. And the most important of all - faith in God - which he has.
